recognized as a hero who had the courage to fight against invaders even though
his life had been hunted by the invaders. His role in the battle of Surabaya
brought blessings for the people of Indonesia especially Surabaya. Exactly on 10th
of November 1945 Bung Tomo echoed his speech to burn the spirit of the Surabaya’s
natives to against the invaders who tried to seize the independence of the
republic of Indonesia which was set on 17 August 1945. With the spirit imbued
by bung tomo, the whole indigenous Surabaya surrendered all their power to the
independence of Indonesia. This battle was not entirely a victory for the
British and Indonesian troops, but Indonesia was blessed with The indigenous

Heroes Monument is a landmark in

the service of national heroes and fighters who had been willing to die
against the invaders for Indonesia's defense. The physical form of this monument is very simple yet meaningful. The body color of this monument is white, but
there is red color at the bottom and top, just like the flag of Indonesia. This monument
has a height about 41.5 meters. This building has a shape like a inverted spike.
The shape of this building has 10 canals of curvature, and the curvature is
divided into 11 segments. This form has a meaning that is about 10-11-1945. 10

The National Heroes day is commemorated
every 10th of November to respect all the killed heroes in Indonesia. This day is usually commemorated by a ceremony
accompanied by a song of silence (Mengheningkan
cipta) and fallen flowers (Gugur
Bunga) in every ceremony. The song in this ceremony intends to commemorate
the services of the heroes and people who have died in order to defend the
independence of the Indonesian republic. Excatly on November 10, 1945 the
Indonesians espeially in Surabaya was stripped again by the colonists of the
British army. This was due to misunderstanding that occurred between soldiers
and indigenous surabaya who met on the street but ended by premising each other
until A.WS Mallaby as the leader of the British army surabaya area was killed.
This misunderstanding caused the anger if British Army to give an ultimatum to
Indonesia to surrender all weapons and stop fighting the AFNEI (Allign Forces
Nederlands East Indies). That is why The Battle of Surabaya started and becuase
of this almost 16000 people of Surabaya

Hi, Annah.
ReplyDeleteThank you for waiting for my comment. It is really great knowing your paragraph is brief and clear. It is flawless yet beautiful. Some suggestions from me, perhaps you need to pay attention in using the capitalization, in third paragraph, "until A.WS Mallaby as the leader of the British army surabaya area was killed", also you need to put "for" between army and Surabaya. Lastly, you need to add comma for 16000 people.
I think these all I can suggest. Hopefully, it will help you. Cheers :)
